New Employee Email
Welcome to Jefferson Parish Schools!
Attached is your new username and password for email and many other applications. Before starting this process, be sure you are on a device connected to the JPS wifi, JPS-Net1. To get started go to Google.com or Gmail.com and sign in using your new username and password.
The linked document (Username and Password Registration) will walk you through the password change process and setting up your account.
The registration process will ask you to add a phone number or personal email address to validate the password change. You may create a password that is easy for you to remember using the password requirements outlined in the liked document (Password Requirements). Once you sign in to Google you will have access to all the Google Suite products like Gmail, Google Classroom, Google Drive, and other suite products.
Email addresses are created from your official employee name listed in our Human Resource system. Last names may include a hyphenated name, and last name of employees with the same name as someone else may be followed by a number (firstname.lastname2@jpschools.org).
Changing a Password: If you forget your password, or you are having trouble signing on, the "Forgot Password" option on the password entry screen allows you to reset your password at any time. As an alternative, the linked document (How to use Self-Service Password Reset) is available to change passwords as well.
Personal Devices: Non-JPS devices (that is, personal devices) may join the guest network, JPS-GUEST. Windows and Mac devices can join the guest network, but phones such as Android, iPhones, and iPads must have their MAC addresses entered into a form available here. Log into the site for more details.
