Running Apps on Chromebooks

Running Apps on Chromebooks
Purpose of this Document
This document will provide an explanation of the differences between running secure applications on older and newer versions of ChromeOS.
What's going on?
Google has pushed out a recent update to Chromebooks (version 90) that has changed when the Apps menu is available. Now, when logging in a Chromebook, you must click Sign on a different account before the Apps menu appears. If Next is clicked, the Apps menu will not be available.
The Old Way
Before the update, you would see the Apps menu (at the bottom) when you turned on your Chromebook. You could simply click it to access your apps, such as DRC.
The New Way
Now, when you turn on your Chromebook, notice the screen looks different and the Apps menu is gone.

Click where it says Sign in with a different account. The Apps menu will appear. You can now run apps such as DRC or sign into the Chromebook from this screen.

You can also click Next from the first screen and sign into your Chromebook just as you did before, but the Apps menu will not appear.
