Error - DRC Running on an Unsupported Operating System

Purpose of this Document

This document provide steps to mitigate the DRC "Unsupported Operating System" error.

Procedure

If you are receiving the “DRC running on an unsupported operating system” error, perform the following procedure:

1) Right click on the DRC Insight icon

2) Select properties

3) From the top menus select “compatibility”. Here you will see a checkbox under “Compatibility mode”, this box needs to be checked so that you can change the version of windows this program runs as. Once the box is checked expand the drop down menu below it and select “windows 7”. This will make DRC run as a windows 7 application thus removing the error.
